A Christian bookstall in a market place area. It is run by a
small group of people who love Jesus and each other, endeavouring
to show God's mercy and truth to a dying world by His life and
love poured through us all. We aim to create an environment
of healing and peace for the people of Doncaster especially
those who may not feel able yet to cope with a church setting.
Explanation
The Christian bookstall differs from a church setting in-so-much
that it is 'on show' to the secular world. We are the 'window
display' of the church (the body of Christ) in the market place.
People passing can take a look at Christianity without feeling
threatened by the 'price tag' they may envisage comes along
with going to church or the boredom endured by a Christless
'religion'. What non-Christians see here could change their
minds about Christ, if we allow Jesus to shine through us in
His unique way. It is essential that we do not misrepresent
Christ or present a false gospel and we make the most of this
great opportunity to show the lost what it really means to know
Jesus.
Not only are we on display to the
world but to other Christians who have been ensnared and enslaved
by 'religion'. Our freedom in Christ will encourage them to
be set free to be whom God intends them to be, and to come into
the wholeness Jesus bought and paid for by His own precious
blood..
We can only achieve the above purpose
if we can fulfil these following... Aims
Seeing the power of the Holy Spirit
at work
Signs and wonders
should support our claims of Christ.
Approachability.
A welcoming atmosphere of peace
joy laughter and love, markedly differing from the rest of the
marketplace, so people feel safe to share their hurts and questions.
When people walk through, they should be able to feel the presence
of God. There should be sweet fellowship (Koinonia) and Godly
pure love between members (people working in bookstall). 'That
they may know we are Christians by our love'.
Wisdom from Above.
People finding answers that the
world cannot give them. The wisdom that comes from above will
be easy for them to understand, because the members will be
a channel of God, not adding their own opinions, but skilfully
using the word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are
to be well balanced, not flaky, showing the people by our mannerisms
that we are confident, yet gentle, loving and non-threatening,
displaying excellence, and humility and the fruits of the Spirit.
The True Gospel
Revealing the true gospel of grace.
We need to know and extend the true gospel and to show it by
the freedom and joy we display in our lives. We will only do
this to the extent of our own growth in knowledge of the love
and grace of Jesus.
Unity
One in purpose, one in vision. Each
member having the same mind as Christ.
How we will Achieve these Aims
The power of the Holy Spirit
Each member will be enabled and
encouraged to stir up the gift that the Holy Spirit has given
them, personally. They will not have to conform to what they
are not, but excel in what they enjoy doing, finding fulfilment
in their true gifting. In this way we will work as the team
that God intended. Each member playing the role they are best
fitted to play. This will be achieved by the group listening
to the Holy Spirit for each person. Anointing with oil and commissioning
the individual to carry out their purpose in the stall, as fitted
by the Holy Spirit.
Approachability
Starting the day with praise and
worship and prayer, binding up any evil influence we will prepare
an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to dwell and the angels to
minister. We will pray for love to abound and bind up all manifestations
of the flesh that could cause division and strife.
Wisdom from Above
Each member will
become more confident about listening to and giving the wisdom
of God, by learning and practising the principles that God revealed
to Mark Virkler, and by experiencing this phenomena in some of
the monthly healing meetings. Some of the counselling skills that
Ellel Grange used to set people free, should be available when
needed, by those qualified.
Mark Virkler and Ellel teachings
will be giving over a six month period from September to February
at the stall. One - two hours per week will be given up for
these trainings, and there will be an exam to see if the members
have a good understanding.
The True Gospel
Each member will be asked to study
the teachings as presented by Andrew Wommack, thus growing in
grace and obtaining the freedom this gives. This will ensure
that our words bring freedom and grace to the people and not
bind them, and that we are all aligned and teaching the same
thing.
These teachings will be taught in the stall by audio and as
stated above for Mark Virkler and Ellel.. and people can learn
at home.
Unity
Included in the morning prayer starting
at 9.30 am we will have the opportunity to bring concerns differences,
ideas and disputes before the Holy Spirit. He will give us one
mind. If there is any trace of disagreement we must resolve
this by the method of bringing it to the Holy Spirit for resolution.

Also there will be a larger group monthly meeting, where we
bring serious issues before the Holy Spirit. He will give us
one mind, if we are humble enough to lay our opinions down and
be willing to be led of Him.
