Food for thought

3rd December 2010

Do not have your concert first, and then tune your instrument afterwards. Begin the day with the Word of God and prayer, and get first of all into harmony with Him.
James Hudson Taylor

Kay just loved the snow.... This is her beautiful poem about it.....

The snow storm.

Ephemeral discs lightly falling,
slowly enhancing the landscape,
delightfully dancing gliding twirling
into a fascinating enchantment.

The ballet begins on an emerald stage.
Each of you glides eagerly to take your place
With the tip of your toes you touch the grass
but alas you blend into the scenery.

Diaphenous and demure, you snowy ballerinas
vie with each other for the best positions,
where we may view to advantage your beauty.

Now you rush down with alarming speed,
Each one to pirouette, so eager to please,
You shimmer and sparkle, in the candlelight's glow
Seems to me you disappear when the footlights show.

As I watch your performance in the glimmering dusk
Perchance do I hear a roaring gust?
And then the interlude as dawn breaks through
I see the dancers have retired,
A haunting stillness lies over the land,
You sleep.
Captured, in your voluminous blanket of brilliance.

You did it all

2nd December 10

The Lord is saying. Oh how it delights my heart to bless my children. When I find a heart of faith, a heart open to receive my blessings, my generous heart is satisfied and I pour and I pour and I pour. Oh that my children could understand that I give because of who I Am and not because of who they are. Tell my children to cease from striving and to know that it is not what they do but what I did that counts. Then they shall enter the blessings. For no one deserves the bountiful love that longs to fill your hearts. Only those who will receive without merit will taste my goodness.

Thank God for His mercy.

The revelation came after I had failed miserably and argued again. Trying to gain my peace, I asked the Lord how I could get my peace back. He told me to praise for that particular person who had upset me. I went to sleep feeling better.

I thought I would awake the next morning.... feeling miserable, but no I received some wonderful revelations.

Apparently when we let "the sun go down on our wrath" we are in danger of the devil getting a foothold.

Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not:
let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27Neither give place to the devil.

Well the revelation was this....The above can be used in a good sense to give the Holy Spirit more room to work in our lives. When we praise and love in the situation where we are being persecuted this brings the resurrection power of Jesus. As we deny ourselves and walk with Him, taking up our cross and following him in meekness, we will see that resurrection power. The person who is giving us the hassle can be greatly helped for their salvation as we praise God and love them in the hard situations we find ourselves in. As we suffer with Jesus, we too will reign with Him. We are given more authority as we obey him over the works of the enemy..

The rainbow colours -
a new aspect - a manifestation of the Holy Spirit

Recently I have been reading a book called Visions behind the veil by Heidi Baker. The children at the Adullam Rescue Mission in Yunnanfu, Yunnan Province, China were blessed with a mighty revival as the Holy Spirit visited them in very beautiful ways. This is an excerpt from the book.. chapter 2

"In the first days of the outpouring of the Spirit one small boy spoke in pure prophecy when in the Spirit he seemed to be in heaven at the feet of Jesus. The Lord spoke through him in the first person clearing up many things the children did not understand and telling them how to tarry and how to seek the Spirit. At that time the Lord said, "When the Spirit is in your midst do not open your eyes, for that will hinder; the Holy Spirit will descend to give you power to preach the gospel, to cast out demons, and to heal the sick; the Holy Spirit is in seven colors, red, blue, and other colors." One of the older boys then said that when the Spirit had been upon him he had seen a great, red light and other colors. The word from the Lord explained this to him and others who had seen different colors. Of course I know light is made up of seven colors but I had never thought of the seven lamps before the throne of God, the Holy Spirit, as seven colors. All light comes from God, and God is light" .

What a wonderful thought, all the revelation I have had about the rainbow and its promises. How to solve differences by praying the rainbow prayer.... and now I am finding that the colours also signify the presence of the Holy Spirit.
