The Lord is saying: I have washed your sins away. Do not look back or regret for I have given you a new start. Give everyone and yourself a new start too and look forward to a future of hope knowing that I am keeping you safe and secure. My will is for you to rejoice and never grumble for my thoughts are always about doing you good. Always. So no matter what your circumstance look like.... know this I am planning good things for you. Thank me in everything and see the blessing that I will pour on those who wait patiently for me.

 

 

This song God gave me, always cheers me up and gives me hope and inspiration to build upon the foundation laid for us. The platform, a standard we could never have reached ourselves, the perfection and righteousness of Jesus, freely given to us. What a springboard to do our very best for the one who gave all for us, and such a small thing really when you think about it, to forgive our brother and sister and give them the same fresh start Jesus gives to us everyday

Adventures in India

....Sunday 6th December

We had to hurry to get to the island over the river as it would soon get dark. A woman was waiting to punt us across on the ferry contraption (hope to get a picture soon and you can see it). Anita writes in her journal that she had never seen a village like this one before and neither had I. It was built next to a field of huge banana trees. The huts were made of mud or wood and the roofs were thatched with foliage that covered most of the building.

 

The people gave us a great welcome. The church was made up of the same material as the houses, bigger, and open at the front. It reminded me of the stable you see on Christmas cards.. The children were adorable. Every week Brother Raju holds a Sunday school there helped by a wonderful young man called Prakesh. The children loved it when I started singing songs and playing the guitar.. They copied Gudrun and Florence dancing. Florence has a wonderful way of putting everything into dancing for the Lord . And Gudrun danced with glee as the children intensely copied her every move.

The joy was incredible. I told them the story of Joseph and how God had a wonderful plan for their lives.. We gave them biscuits and they were so grateful that Anita writes how it made her realise how fortunate we are to have what we have!!!

We noticed that two boys had cataracts. This must be caused by them drinking water with parasites in. I wondered how bad the problem was. We have asked Brother Raju to look into how much it would cost to get the children treated and the cataracts removed. Also I would like to know if we could buy tablets to kill the parasites that have infected them. I am hoping to get in touch with Sight Savers or Christian Blind Mission to find out if they could help.

We spent ages praying for the people on the way back to the ferry. People were queueing everywhere for prayer. One small smiling teenage girl carried my heavy bag all the time and came with us on the ferry to see us off. The people treat us like filmstars. It was so humbling.

I was quite poorly when I got back. Although our hotel room was warm, I was freezing and my stomach felt queazy. I got into bed with my big red woolly jacket on and two blankets. Anita prayed for me and told me that I'd be sweating cobs within no time and would wake up refreshed in the morning raring to go! Thats just what happened. Soon I was peeling all the layers off and the next morning I was up bright and early for the first time yet, showered and serving Anita coffee. Praise the Lord!!! The Lord had told me he was going to use Anita in healing. She had some practise on me, but would have many opportunities in the coming days for getting the people healed alongside Gudrun and Florence who have wonderful prayer ministries..... But of course.... All the glory goes to Jesus!!! What have we got that we haven't received from Him. I'm so grateful that He let me share in this wonderful experience and joy of helping these beautiful Indian people.

A Dog's New Year's Resolutions

January 1st: Kill the sock!
January 2nd: Must kill the sock!
January 3rd:: Re-live victory over the sock.

I will try to remember ....The dustbin man is NOT stealing our stuff.

I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table.

I will not eat the cats' food... before OR after they eat it.

I will stop trying to find the few remaining pieces of clean carpet in the house when I am about to throw up.

I will not lick my human's face after eating animal poop.

I will not chew my human's toothbrush and not tell them.

I will not chew crayons or pens, especially not the red ones, or my people will think I am hemorrhaging.

We do not have a doorbell. I will not bark each time I hear one on TV.

I will take time from busy schedule to stop and smell behinds.
