The Lord is saying.   You are gaining more ground, higher ground and you have found that the giants are bigger on this level and more complex. This is because the reward is greater and of long standing value. Therefore I would say do not give in and go back like Israel did, but be encouraged for I have already given you the land. Go forward with great courage for I AM with you.

Adventures in India

....Saturday 12th December 09

Anita writes "What a glorious day, and we are going to the Beach!!. Thank you Jesus. I really thought it would be impossible but Raju and Enoch gave us a day off so thank you Lord for giving us a really special day". .........." The sea was beautiful and the sand soft and white. I couldn't wait to get in but it is the first time I went in with trousers on!! The waves were quite high they kept knocking me off my feet, but it was wonderfu!!!!"

She was right!! The last thing I (Shirley) wanted to do was to go to the beach but it proved to be one of the most therapeutic days for me. I believe the Lord gave us a 'holiday' from our hard but rewarding schedule. I had decided there was no way I was going in the sea.... so didn't bother even taking a swimming cossie. In my mind there could be Irukandji (deadly jellyfish) in there.... Ok "Where was my faith"?

Yet the sea was so warm and inviting and after a little paddle I decided to go in in my dress. Florence didn't want to go in the sea either but had a revival in the air-conditioned car listening to praise music on Anita's Ipod. Her face shone with pleasure as she 'danced' (the best way you can sitting down) and fellowshipped with the Lord. Gudrun stayed in the hotel to spend some time with the Lord and get refreshed. She looked in good form when we returned. God really did a wonderful refreshing work on all of us.

There are a lack of photo's of us at the beach as in India it isn't the done thing for women to go frollicking in the sea showing there knees!!!!

We had a great time shopping where I bought my shawls and the other bought some beautiful sari's and things for Christmas presents.

Letting go of all that holds us back

Part Three

Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.

So we have a desire to be free......, we've found the things that seemed so harmless and even 'normal' in this world were really webs and traps in disquise.

Its been written....The chains of sin are to light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken. [Tom Drout]

This may be true insomuch as the things that we have got our selves into looked quite harmless at the time , and then when we've struggled to become free the bonds became even tighter. Yet we know that Jesus came to break the power of sin in our lives, and to release us from our self imposed prisons. What is impossible with man is possible with God!!

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

We are set free by the truth, the truth of God's word about who we really are in Christ, will set us free without any effort.

When we became born again, we became totally new creations and to all who believe and understand this there is peace. We are not half sin nature and half sanctified. Our true nature has been changed completely. There is no lust in our new nature, no fear, no unforgiveness or wrath, etc.

In our spirits we are as unblemished as we will ever be. Our problem now is that our minds and bodies have to catch on to this truth. The mind like a computer needs to be re-programmed with the truth of what has really happened to us.. When we become born again, we are not the same any longer ....our old nature died. You might say well that may be the case, but my desires are very much alive and kicking. Thats because your mind's has not caught up to what has really happened and continues to play the same record, the same old habits, over and over.. The way we re-programme our minds is by the word of God, and when we do that the changing of our old habits to walking out our new nature will be effortless.

Galatians 6:14 -18 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating if you have been trying to overcome the sin that so easily besets you by your own efforts you will know that its not worked yet.. But this will work effortlessly...... understanding the truth about who you really are and what has happened to you when you became born again....that you are a new creation and your spirit is perfect and unblemished because of what Jesus did on the cross for you.
