2nd September 10: The
Lord is saying. Enjoy the rest you are having and the peace.
This is an oasis in the desert, a resting place for your weary
soul, after the storms.. Drink deeply from the well of peace
and strengthen yourself with it so you will be calm when your
are next called for to do my bidding in this sin sick weary
world of hurting people.
The Lord is saying: Forget
the past, run for the prize, looking ahead at the joy. This
is a new day, a new beginning, a new era. You have been washed,
you have been renewed. Do as you have planned in your heart
before me and it will bear much fruit in due season.
Sorry I've been so long in updating. Since Alan
has been away, I've been run off my feet. I have got a lot done
though.
We had a wonderful time dancing through the
town of Sheffield on Thursday waving the rainbow ribbons. I wish
I had photo's to show you. Wynne was so professional about organising
this for the Lord's glory. The dance was choreographed by a lovely
ballet teacher and at the last minute we managed to get a wonderful
young man called Oliver to walk ahead of us and play the guitar
singing for us. We had others at the back of us praying and interceding.
People were so friendly, hooting their horns. One lovely black
man over the road did a dance for us, to show his approval. Another
man stopped on a bike and told us it was AWESOME.
I'm rejoicing in my new talent..... what me???? a dancer...
Wow!! Lord you can do ANYTHING!!!!

Prayer Requests
R has had to run from her partner
who has abused her. She is in hiding, please pray that she
will be kept safe, her and her baby and that her other child
will be reunited with her when she is established in a place
where she is happy with people who love her around her..
K's going for an endoscopy to try
to dislodge a gallstone. Please pray that she will not feel
discomfort and that there will be a good result.
Bill is going to Ireland for the
very first time in his seventies. His ancestors came from
Ireland. Please pray he will have a wonderful, freeing time.
Sue who has a brain tumour, that
she might open up for prayer and to get saved. Please God.

Just Joking
A father was
reading Bible stories to his young son. He read, 'The man
named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the
city, but his wife looked back and was turned to salt.'
His son asked, 'What happened
to the flea?'
Martin arrived at Sunday school
late. Miss Walter, his teacher, knew that Martin was usually
very punctual so she asked him if anything was wrong.
Martin replied no, that he had
been going fishing but his dad told him that he needed to
go to church.
Miss Walter was very impressed
and asked the lad if his dad had explained to him why it
was more important to go to church than to go fishing?
Martin replied, 'Yes he did.
Dad said he didn't have enough bait for both of us.
