The Lord is saying: Keep walking, keep in step, do not be lulled into a false sense of security. Your safety and success can only be found in me. Stay walking on the path of life with me.

 

 

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shone his flashlight around, looking
for valuables when a voice in the dark said,

'Jesus knows you're here.'

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze.

When he heard nothing more , after a bit, he shook his head and continued.

Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard

'Jesus is watching you.'

Freaked out, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice.

Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

'Did you say that?' he hissed at the parrot.

'Yep', the parrot confessed, then squawked, 'I'm just trying to warn you that he is watching you.'

The burglar relaxed. 'Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?'

'Moses,' replied the bird.

'Moses?' the burglar laughed. 'What kind of people would name a bird Moses?'

'The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus.'

Adventures in India

Made my permanent mark on India when I stepped on some freshly laid road by accident. Oh well it had been a long day! Our hotel room was a bit of a disappointment and the electrics went off as we got to bed. We found we had a visitor stuck to the bedroom wall.... Something that looked like a lizard which Anita said was a Gecko. We decided to call him Cuthbert. He would disappear for a while and then come back to the same location.

Saturday morning Brother Raju came to take us to his church. We had hired a vehicle with a driver we called Adi. He drove erratically and hooted all the time. Rajus church which he built himself is a concrete building the size of a garage, barred windows, tin roof and strip lighting, 2 ceiling fans. Picture this and fill it with people sitting on the floor and praising the Lord. Florence took the service which was very powerful. Gudrun prayed for the sick. The people were so welcoming and humble. Their eyes shone with love.

That night Brother Raju took us to another of his churches. I can't wait to show you the photos but I have to get them from Anita and haven't had chance to get over there yet. The people seemed different, very solemn. But as the Spirit of God broke through they became animated and smiling. We gave testimonies and sang. They probably had never heard a guitar and the western type of singing before. They loved it..
