The Grass and Spring flowers.
Quite spongy now as you emerge
from your refrigeration.
Quietly you lie there, giving away no secrets of the life within.
Bedecked and speckled with
the
sparkling diamonds of dew you lie there.
New and unused waiting to serve.
Replenished and refurbished
in the months before
You offer us a softness for our feet.
You get ready to display
on that emerald back-cloth the myriad
and ever surprising show of dazzling colour.
Little snowdrop,
your frail and tender body
Just surviving in the windy gusts,
you offer up a
magnificent droplet of pearl
that any princess
would delight in wearing
Do the golden trumpets
of those daffodils
and the heady scent of the jonquil
herald your birth and entice us
to your place,
you little pearl so priceless?.
Up in the shelter of the
copse,
in the still silence, I find a bell.
You do not toll dear bluebell
lest you disturb
the exciting business all around.
Dainty and delicate, you sway
Hither and thither brightening up my day.

Just Joking
A small boy's prayer:
"Dear God, I hope you take care of yourself. 'Cause if anything
happens to you, we would all be in a terrible mess."

Butterflies Galore
The idea for a business "Butterflies Galore" came
many years ago when my husband was working and I was staying
at home to look after my youngest child. Not having any money
that I could call my own, I decided to make pretty cushions
for some pin money, and it gave me a small degree of financial
independence.
Butterflies signified to me life, liberty and the financial
freedom I longed for, and the sight of one would give me hope
for the future. I would take pleasure whenever I saw one, believing
God was promising me liberty. He seemed to show me them whereever
I went, on pictures, cards or real ones fluttering about. One
day I thought to myself I hadn't sighted a butterfly anywhere,
but took courage... God had promised to set me free. That evening
at my sister Miriam's prayer meeting a girl had a massive butterfly
buckle on her belt. Then leaving the meeting at around 10 pm,
there were literally hundreds of butterflies swarming everywhere
in the street, one landing on my friend Fay's hand.
Fay prophesied that the butterflies that God were revealing
to my signified Christian women (or men) selling their crafts
to help them become financially independent. And so the idea
of "Butterflies Galore" was born.
Now I have a chance to start a market stall for a small amount
of money for a few weeks and I've already made a small website
advertising my worship ribbons called www.butterfliesgalore.co.uk
Eventually "Butterflies Galore" could be the means
to display crafts or services, for other Christians.
Please would you pray that if this is God's will that it will
come about and be successful and a benefit to everyone concerned.
Thanks
Shirley

Sponsored Walk
Message
from Anita Ball
As
you may already know a team of us went out to India in December
of last year to visit with Brother Raju (who is also a medical
doctor) and he took us round the tribal villages of Tenali
that he cares for. He took us to many tribal villages but
the one that needs our help now is the one in Guntur. This
village is right next to a rubbish dump and they are desperately
in need of a bore well. We need to raise at least £600
for this well to be dug and so I am going to do a walk around
Dovedale at the end of June and for those of you who would
like to sponsor me then please get in touch with either
myself or Shirley to donate. There are so many good things
that Brother Raju does for his people that if we are blessed
to have more money than we need for the well this will then
be spent feeding the children of the villages and helping
Brother Raju provide medical care for all the tribal villages.
I pray that God will put it in your heart to help these
people. God bless to you all. Your sister in Christ Jesus
