The Lord is saying. Child, walk on, I am with you. I have not fallen from my throne. All is well and I will keep you. I am still able and willing to do more than you can ask or think. My mercies are new every morning and I have still got good plans for you. Plans which cannot be thwarted. Therefore keep walking and keep clinging to my hand. I will not let you down.

The Cross and the Resurrection

After the cross came the resurrection for Jesus. When we pick up our cross and show mercy, compassion and forgiveness to those who persecute us, we too will rejoice in the consequential resurrection. We are participating in Christ's sufferings to bring life where there has been death, when we bless and love our enemies as He did.

Fear Not My Child

(Taken from Katey Moreland's book, Fear Not My Child, yet to be published)

Week 36 (14.05.11)

''Be strong and of good courage,
For to this people you shall divide as an inheritance
The land that I swore to their fathers to give them'
Joshua 1: 6"

Winston Churchill said, 'To each there comes in his or her lifetime a special moment when they are tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talent'. The moment you need to step-up to the calling may initially fill you with fear, but God may remind you to knock fear on the head and be courageous for the sake of others. Having just arrived in Kenya in 2007, being informed my first job was to teach a group of established pastors on effective ministry, my initial reaction was to book the next flight home! But as soon as I handed it over to the LORD He gave me the courage to speak - the words were His, after all, not mine, and the teaching for their benefit not mine.

Dear LORD,
I pray to be strong and of good courage when you call me to do something I feel is beyond my ability. Let me be willing, for the sake of others as well as my own development, to step-out of my comfort zone and answer Your call, so that Your will may be fulfilled. I ask all in Jesus' name, Amen!

Prayer Requests

Thanks for your prayers for this week, I've got loads done. Dave is today flying into Doncaster, which is wonderful for me as I was going to have to meet him from the ferry on the West Coast. Praise the Lord. Still got thing to do in the house, such as put beds up etc. The three lads that are coming with Dave will need to have camping gear taken down to Stoneleigh so as as well as looking after them and sorting most the venues, I've the end of the week to face. Pray I can be strong physically and mentally and me and my family protected. I do appreciate your prayers at this time. I have managed to have some good sleep up until last night, so I'll need lots of grace today.

I think I'll be singing tonight. Please pray for an anointing on me and Jan, if he's playing with me.

Most important is that all will go well with Dave's visit, no obstacles or difficult times. That he will have good rest between all his gigs and that many many people are blessed saved and healed.

Shirley

Could you pray also for Hazel who has an infection in her eyes, head pains and some retina problem, that all these will clear up and be nothing serious.

Bernard is confused and tormented please pray for peace and no pain

Please pray for M who is on all sorts of tranquillisers and anti-depressants that she will be able to have a vision for the future and that she come into the full potential of all her talents and be set free in her mind completely. Her greatest need is to be able to be free from negative thoughts in the morning.

Please could you continue to pray for A's son that he will stay free from drugs and from the people who encouraged him in the past to take them. Please pray for his complete salvation in Jesus.

Thank you for prayers for the P family. After prayer the husband is walking about now. Please pray that their finances will be kept safe.

Please continue to pray for Jack who has cancer.
