Food for thought  21st June 10.....

Just Joking

A new pastor was doing his rounds visiting the homes of his parishioners. At one house it was evident that someone was within but no one answered his repeated knocks. Eventually he wrote on the back of a calling card: ‘Revelation 3:20’ and stuck it to the door.

The following Sunday he was surprised to find his card in the offering plate. Below his writing was scrawled: ‘Genesis 3:10.’

He reached for his Bible and thereafter broke into gales of laughter.

***
Revelation 3:20 - “Behold, I stand at the door and knock…”
Genesis 3:10 - “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked…”

25th June 10

The Lord is saying: Keep walking, Things may look mundane but there are things happening in the heavenlies that will affect your future. Keep connected and you will be in the forever NOW where the blessings are flowing constantly like a stream of living water. Not only will you be blessed but you will be a blessing to others, a conduit to irrigate the dry and barren land you see around you. Keep moving, do not become stagnant.

21st June 10

The Lord is saying:  You are coming into another level of my glory. You are claiming another aspect of your inheritance. As always there are the giants to contend with. But they are bread to you. Treat them as the bread that they are..... and thank me that I have already overcome. All I ask is that you rejoice in my provision. Rejoice that the battle is already won and go victoriously celebrating with your flags flying into the inheritance I have won for you. Go through this life with a shout of joy, rejoicing always..

They (Joshua and Caleb) said, Neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them (they are defenceless), and the LORD is with us: fear them not (Num 14:9).

Entering in to the Rest of God

Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith........There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Hebrews 4. 1,2,9,10

When God sent the twelve into the promised land to spy it out, He already knew about the giants. He already knew that the people dwelling there, lived in walled cities and that the walls were so thick and strong it was nigh on impossible for them to come down. but He also knew that those walls of Jericho would be come tumbling down at His command. It was written before the beginning of time….To God it was a finished work

All Israel needed to do was walk in to the promised land and act out the strategy God had instructed. God would do the rest! But most of them didn't believe. If they had believed they would have said the right words.…and pleased God and entered the promised land.

You see if we don't believe, we will not walk, we will not act and we will not say what God longs to hear… "Father I believe your big enough, Father I believe you love me enough, Father I believe Jesus died and took my sin and now I am the righteousness of God. Father Its already done, I am no longer trying to earn your favour, but I am walking in it, rejoicing for what Jesus did on the cross for me. Father I know you have a wonderful inheritance for me. What's my next step Father?"

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;. 2 Corinthians 4:13

Its what you say that is so important to God. He wanted to know what the twelve men were going to say. And then He gave them what they said. Only Joshua and Caleb and all the children under twenty entered in to the promise land.

Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Numbers 14:28

God is listening for our opinion!!!

Our future is already written….
Our destiny is in the book
Every trial we will have to face, every enemy is defeated.

Will we agree with God!!!

If we do... we will walk into the wonderful future God has planned for us, planned before the beginning of time, into the finished work.

For he that enters into His rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
Hebrews 4. 10.

When you walk into the finished work, what is there to add… Just obedience..God's strategy......It doesn't mean that we will be laid back having grapes dropped in our mouths. We will walk in the works prepared for us to walk in.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Israel had to march round Jericho seven times before the walls fell. But they didn't make it fall, in their own power... it was impossible. When we walk in the finished work…we obey God's strategy and then watch God work

When the Lord was teaching me about walking in the finished work, He showed me there was no sickness in that work, but complete wholeness, in every area of my life. I asked Him "How can I explain the finished work to the people?" This is what He said.

If you try to get what you have already got, you will miss what you already have.

When we are busy begging God for healing, wealth, victory over sin, etc etc we are using up our energies trying to get something we've already got. We are looking in the wrong place. We have to come from the right position. We already have it. We are already victorious because Jesus has already won everything for us....We are not the sick trying to get healed... we are the healed the enemy is trying to get sick. We are not the poor trying to get rich, we are the rich the enemy tries to make poor. we are not the unrighteous trying to get righteous, we are the righteous the enemy tries to get to walk in the flesh. We are not trying to get victory we already have the victory. What we need to do is stand on what we have and not take one foot off the territory we have been given to guard.

The word that has been given us by revelation is the ground that we are to stand on and not let the enemy take an inch of it.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.Revelations 3:11

THE LOST LAMB.

Heavenly realms are calling
with an urgency indeed
"come back my child come back to me
with diligence and speed"

I have watched you walk on an alien road
with no light to guide your way.
My arms and heart are open wide,
come back to me and stay,

My constant love goes to you
and longs that you might receive a spark of the love that's in store for you
If only you could believe.

I am here my child to comfort you
in all your sorrow and pain,
Come back to the warmth of my open arms
You will see it is not in vain

From heaven above I look at you,
your doubt causes Me pain,
for you on a cross on Calvary's hill
My human body was slain

My blood was shed to save you
from all that is evil around.
Were you only you on the earth, my child,
My precious blood would still have flowed to
The ground".

Sponsored Walk

A Message from Anita Ball

As you may already know a team of us went out to India in December of last year to visit with Brother Raju (who is also a medical doctor) and he took us round the tribal villages of Tenali that he cares for. He took us to many tribal villages but the one that needs our help now is the one in Guntur. This village is right next to a rubbish dump and they are desperately in need of a bore well. We need to raise at least £600 for this well to be dug and so I am going to do a walk around Dovedale at the end of June and for those of you who would like to sponsor me then please get in touch with either myself or Shirley to donate. There are so many good things that Brother Raju does for his people that if we are blessed to have more money than we need for the well this will then be spent feeding the children of the villages and helping Brother Raju provide medical care for all the tribal villages. I pray that God will put it in your heart to help these people. God bless to you all. Your sister in Christ Jesus xxx
