Another of my songs.... hope you like
it!!
Based upon
the Songs of Solomon, where the Beloved experiences the great
love of her Lover. As I worshipped I saw myself in a beautiful
garden with the Lord.
Song of Solomon 2:3 As the apple tree
among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons.
I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit
was sweet to my taste.
(I love Jan,my son's, guitar track
on this and you'll hear my husband Alan playing the mandolin
in the background. )

This song came after making the decision
to praise the Lord for a certain amount of time everyday. I
had listened to Mike Bickle warning that we would need intimacy
and closeness to Jesus to get through the troubled times we
would be facing soon. This truth proved to be invaluable to
me through the months of continuous trials and tribulations.
It helped me focus and stay in the spirit where "ALL IS
WELL" rather than look at the circumstances.
I had a sense that it gave Him great pleasure
when we spend time in worship, just like the woman with the
alabaster box who broke and anointed Jesus with its precious
contents. Also when Mary anointed Him with the expensive perfumed
nard, Jesus rebuked her critics as she lovingly washed His feet
with her hair, and poured the expensive oil on his head. Little
did she know that she was anointing his body in preparation
for His burial.
To one of the disciples this was an extravagant
waste. However this act was so significant that thousands of
years later she is honoured for her great sacrificial love.
Luke 7:36-50
Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus
to have dinner with him, so he went to the Pharisee's house
and reclined at the table. When a woman who had lived a sinful
life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's
house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood
behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with
her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and
poured perfume on them.
John 12
Then Mary took about a pint of pure
nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus feet
and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with
the fragrance of the perfume.
But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot,
who was later to betray him, objected, Why wasnt
this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth
a years wages. He did not say this because he cared
about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the
money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.
Leave her alone, Jesus
replied. [It was intended] that she should save this perfume
for the day of my burial. You will always have the poor among
you, but you will not always have me.
Sound
of Mercy
And I'll be posting other new songs
over the next few updates.
