“I can’t understand why people are frightened of new ideas.
I’m frightened of the old ones.”
-John Cage

The Lord is saying: Be careful for nothing. But be courageous for me. You have seen that where there is a will there is a way. When I say "Go". Nothing can stop you. No door can stay unlocked and no gate can stay barred. All will work for your progress. Be courageous for me.

Isaiah 45 1-3 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Letting your light shine

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you
not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
as children do.
We were born to make
manifest the glory of God
that is within us.
It is not just in some of us;
it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

-Marianne Williamson (frequently quoted as Nelson Mandela)
