Food for thought    7th September 09

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
..........a time to break down, and a time to build up; Ecclesiastes 1 & 3b

The Lord is saying: Be at peace. I have commissioned you to break down and to build up. The breaking down is as important as the building up. How can you build on a foundation that is cracked and broken. Clear up the rubbish, plough up the fallow ground, and then you can build, and then you can sow. I am behind all that is happening do not lose heart for I have the blueprint for the building. I have a plan that is good and I can see the finished product, but you are looking at the rubble. Continue to clear the rubbish, continue to plough.

You've already got it. .....continued

I pray that we will all get the full revelation of this. THE FINISHED WORK....ENTERING INTO GOD'S REST...

We've stopped looking for the Messiah because we've already found Him, now are we going to stop toiling for all the other things that come with Him? We need just to ask him what we need to do in faith to see the manifestation of what we already have. The little boy gave what he got;seven loaves and a few fishes. The woman grabbed the hem of His garment. The woman of Zarephath baked a cake for Elijah and her pots of oil and flour never ran out. Faith that believes "Its already yours" requires an action to reach out and get what belongs to you.

When I first heard this teaching from Andrew Wommack, I remember hearing him say something like "You already have it, now ask God where it is and how to get it"       I had to find about £500 for student fees and was very concerned because I had no way of finding this money naturally speaking. I decided to try what Andrew had suggested.. I asked God where this £500 was and how to get it. Straight away I heard in my spirit to ring up the student fee organisation and explain the situation. They told me that I was entitled to have this fee paid for me, by the government. If I hadn't asked the Father to show me how to get what I already had, I would have gone ahead and struggled to pay this money.!!! Thats what can happen if we don't understand we HAVE ALREADY GOT IT. Only God knows where the provision is, we must not make the mistake of presuming or trying to control by thinking that there is a particular person who must give it to us. Its always a gift from God with no sorrow attached to it.

JESUS HAS ARRIVED AND WITH HIM ALL THINGS THAT WE NEED. Yes as they travelled with Jesus they never needed to worry how they would be fed. In Him was everything that they would ever need. And He's the same now. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Its easy to be content with what you have when you realise you have all you will ever need, in that eternal now, walking with Christ

Let your conversation be without covetousness; ...and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

We toil so hard to get a crumb when there is a much easier way. Peter lay down his nets and followed Jesus. He saw in Jesus something so wonderful it was worth giving up everything for. Perhaps we need to lay down our own agendas, leave our nets of strife and toil, and step out in faith and follow Him.

Simon, who is called Peter, was a fisherman. Simon Peter and Andrew, his brother were fishing by the Sea of Galilee when Jesus called them to be fishers of men. They left their nets, and followed Jesus. (Matthew 10:2; Mark 3:16).

1 Cor.3.21. Wherefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;

We never need to look at someone and wish we had what they have, for ALL THINGS belong to us in Christ.

Over the next few days we will look into more depth at ....

My testimony

by Shirley

I have just recovered from bursitis of the shoulder. You might remember that I went on holiday to Saltzburg with my family a week or so ago. It was a very difficult time, even before I left and after I arrived back. The pain in my shoulder was so bad that I couldn't move my arm in the slightest without great pain. You may have noted that I was not updating as regular, this was because it was extremely difficult even to type. I felt that I had a huge abcess in my shoulder. I was on constant painkillers.

The Holy Spirit kept reminding me to hold onto the promise that I was "not the sick trying to get healed but the healed the enemy was trying to make sick" and to keep in my heart that "God had good plans for me". It looked for all the world that I would end up with a crippled arm.

I received prayer on Saturday 29th August and the next day this scripture from Hebrews almost jumped out of the page at me....

Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.
Hebrews 12:11-13

I knew what I had to do. Start walking with Jesus again on His straight path. I had wandered off into my own agenda somewhere and the enemy had taken advantage. Yet there is no sickness on that path. If I stayed on it, sickness would have to drop off.

‘And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called the way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there.’—ISAIAH xxxv. 8, 9.

I was due to have a steroid shot in my shoulder on the Wednesday. When my friend Anita spoke to me on the Monday night about how painful these shots are, "I replied that God might heal me before then". That evening I felt a strange sensation in my shoulder, then my arm went heavy but suddenly I could move my arm more freely.

By Wednesday when I saw the doctor, she could see that I was well on the way to recovery and said I didn't need the shot. She diagnosed, by the xray previously taken, I had had calcium deposits in the bursa sac of my shoulder. Where they went to I'm not quite sure... all I know is that I am now walking in the manifestation of

"I'm the healed and not the sick"
