The Father's love letter to you

The Lord is saying: Good you've got it! You are putting your trust in me and taking your eyes from the things of this world. Remember that I cannot fail and that I have overcome the world. Do not fear and tremble at what man can do to you or the circumstances that you see around you. All these shall fail but my word and promise to you will last forever. Therefore focus your eyes on me and feed your heart with the good promises I have given you, knowing that my word will not fail you in any respect.

Isaiah 51:6 -8 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Are we willing to pay the price?

Our salvation costs us nothing, it is a free gift. But it cost God His Son to die on the cross, and Jesus the most painful death.. Yet if we are to be used of God it will cost us everything. Luke 14:33 says ...

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

To be a disciple of Jesus we must be willing for our affections to be such that Jesus means more to us than anything on this earth, even our own lives. If we live it is for the sake of Christ, If we die it is for the sake of Christ. His cause and purpose, the furtherance of the Kingdom of God must be paramount and everything else must take a second place. We know we have drifted if our focus, aims and purposes are on anything other than the glory of God, His will and good pleasure. I once read that if we are to make good decisions we are to ask ourselves "Will the end of this thing I am about to undertake result in the glory of God?"

It would be a good thing to use this measure for the things that have cluttered our lives and to purge out anything that has seeped in to distract us and to pollute our motives.

What happens when we seek God's kingdom first........ all the other things are added to us!!!! So if you have been taken up with cares and worries of this life, remember He who looks after the sparrows will surely take care of you and your family Get your focus and motives back onto God's purpose for you...... He will not let you down. His promises are true and He is faithful .... you can rely on Him completely... He will not fail!!

The Maypole - The promise in the rainbow

God gave me a vision of a maypole, like children we were dancing round it. Each ribbon was a colour of the rainbow. Each ribbon represented a promise that the Lord had given us.

Yet the Lord looked sad. I enquired why He was so sad. He replied words to this effect, "Because you do not grasp hold of all of my promises and then you let go of the promises you are holding when the going gets tough. You stop dancing and celebrating in that time for faith, when you cannot yet see the manifestation of my promise "

Nothing saddens the heart of Jesus more than when we mistrust him. That time of faith when we cannot see the manifestation of the word, is the most precious time of showing the Lord that we trust Him. We should thank God and celebrate when those circumstances come that contradict His promises for this is the time we can most please his heart.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
