Humility is the magnet that draws the presence of God into any situation.

 

 

 

The Lord is saying: Today is a day of new beginnings. You have more energy than usual.. This trend will continue. Keep knowing that you are safe in me. That in me alone is your safety. This is where your extra energy is coming from. Anxiety saps you of your strength. You shall lay down in peace. Do not worry about anything. All is well. All is very well.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

 

 

 

 

A Child's View of Thunderstorm

A little girl walked to and from school daily. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to school.
As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with lightning.

The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school. She also feared the electrical storm might harm her child.
Full of concern, the mother got into her car and quickly drove along the route to her child's school. As she did, she saw her little girl walking along.

At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile.
More lightning followed quickly and with each, the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile

When the mother drew up beside the child, she lowered the window and called,
"What are you doing?"

The child answered,
"I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture."

It Couldn't Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
But, he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn’t,"
but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in
with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing
as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done,
and he did it.

 

Somebody scoffed:
"Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one has done it";
But he took off his coat
and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew
he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing
as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

 

There are thousands to tell you
it cannot be done,
There are thousands
to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle it in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "couldn’t be done,"
and you’ll do it.
