Food for thought    15th June 09

“First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.
-Mahatma Gandhi

The Lord is saying... Be cautious to carry out those steps I have instructed you to carry out. In doing so you will be closing the enemy's mouth. In these days when evil deeds are being exposed your light will shine if you are diligent to carry out my instructions to you. Take time to plan how you will do those things you know to be urgent.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Mat 5:14-16

Light and darkness

The essence of the night sky revels

in it's majestic wonderland of moon and stars

and arrogant affirmation,

Bright spark of wonderment out of the night sky

heralds the morning glow springing surprise

and majestic splendour of the new dawn and

the new day for all who wait.

Rapturous applause of day break

with awesome searchlight of heraldic beauty

Stepping over the precipice of darkness

into the cool clear illumination of a new

beginning,

bringing joy to all the earth and transforming

evil intent into the lithesome dance of love

forever.

Catherine O'Halloran.
