Faith is the virtue by which, clinging-to the faithfulness of God,
we lean upon him, so that we may obtain what he gives to us.

William Ames

The Lord is saying...You are on a winning streak, do not stop or become discouraged by the enemy's lies, keep going forward and do not turn back. The arrows have been often and consistently shot against you, there has been much crossfire. Yet I have not allowed the weapons formed against you to prosper but have broken each arrow in its turn. I do not want you to be deterred or to cower but to walk forward knowing that I am your shield and protector and that I will not fail you. I will deal with your opponents as you walk in my presence. So do not hang your head down as though you are a victim or ashamed. You are pleasing in my sight, a blood-washed child of mine. Look up and walk on trusting in my unfailing love. I am for you and not against you. I am with you in all these trials and have already overcome everyone of them. Stand tall, Oh Child of God and walk with me.

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:15,16,17

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ........Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:31-35 &37

OVERCOMING TEMPTATION - Shirley's note

There is a scripture that reads "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom" I hadn't seen this scripture before yet it was lightened up to me when I had just found a weapon in my armoury I didn't know I had.

I had been trying to believe a promise that was constantly being attacked by the enemy. I had tried to walk on it, proclaim it, stand on it, yet still felt the fear in me, and the darkness of the lies of the enemy were so easy to believe. But then I found, when I decided to fully believed the Word of God , and to repent of the sin of disbelief, that the word was in me, a promise from God, that what I had dreaded had not happened and would not happen. This word in me was right in the pit of my stomach replacing the fear that had dwelt there, now a sensation of the love of God that had given me this promise.

I found that later when I was attacked in this area again, I had only to locate that word in me and that feeling of peace and assurance that God would keep His promise was right there in me. It needed some nurturing, and attention and for me to focus on it and let it reign instead of the fear. It was an active decision not to analyse with my peanut brain, but to rest on this assurance within me. The word then became bigger inside of me, radiating out and evicting the lies of the enemy. I was able then to act out and walk in the light of the truth and the blood of Jesus was cleansing me from all sin, and yes what followed was fellowship with the one the accuser had been accusing in my mind..

If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin. I John 1:7

'The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light; but if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!'Mat. 6:22, 23

"All is well."

With silent surrender to the dawn,

The melody-enriched lark song finds a heart,

A heart to listen with intensity of feeling in a rare and splendid moment of adjulating wonderment,

Where eye seeks eye and handclasp is desired above all else,

When gentle mists of love embrace the secret garden of the heart where the tenderest emotions abide and have their being, and the golden awakening of friendship is established forever.

Here is a place where no fear treads the boards,
where trust in it's magnitude is reclaimed and a new utterance breaks through the darkness, echoing the thoughts of freedom, that

"all is well".

Catherine O'Halloran.
