We
should fear the real threat
instead of the false one
Part
1
The
Lord told me last night that there was something to fear more
than losing the things I'm afraid of losing. I went to sleep
with this thought... that the consequences of crossing the
boundaries I am tempted to cross because of fear, are real.
These consequences are to be feared much more than the irrational
fears that the enemy plays out in front of me.
The Lord showed me very clearly in my waking hours, that satan
who is a very definite individual has a very definite plan
to steal a very definite thing from us. He can't take it by
force, only by baiting us. He is after stealing something
more important than the things we are afraid of losing. He
knows that he cannot steal these things.. God has them firmly
in his hand. The other thing is that he doesn't particularly
want to steal these things. He is after something much more
important to him.
When satan tempted Eve, he knew what he was after. He had
a very definite plan to build up a stronghold of lies and
Eve fell for it and got caught up in a cloud of deception..
Maybe if she had understood that he was after something.......and
known her protection was in believing God's word. God had
given Adam and Eve authority and power over the earth and
over every living creature. He had given them everything they
would ever need to live in bliss. What did they lose after
the fall? What had satan managed to take from them? What will
we lose if we believe his lies? What ground will we lose if
we give into his deception? What word is the Lord wanting
us to stand on.
...
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory, for ever
and ever.
Revelation
3:10-12
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will
keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the
whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold,
I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one
may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar
in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will
write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of
My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven
from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
